Privacy Policy
Last updated October 24, 2026
This policy explains how De Bright Light Ltd., operating as OxyPaw (“we,” “us” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you visit oxypaw.com, use our store locator or contact us.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you choose to provide to us, such as your name, email address and message when you contact us about our products, retail partnerships or other enquiries.
When you visit oxypaw.com, our website infrastructure and service providers may process technical information needed to deliver, operate and protect the website. This may include your IP address, browser type, device or operating system information, requested pages, referring information and access times.
Our contact form is protected using Cloudflare Turnstile and other security measures intended to detect automated, abusive or malicious submissions. These security services may process browser, device, network and security-related signals.
Please avoid including sensitive personal information in your messages unless it is necessary for your enquiry.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to enquiries and provide customer support.
- Respond to retail, wholesale and other business enquiries.
- Help visitors locate retailers that carry OxyPaw.
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and secure our website.
- Detect and prevent spam, abuse, fraud and other security threats.
- Maintain appropriate business records and meet applicable legal obligations.
If we introduce email marketing or promotional subscriptions, we will request the consent required by applicable law before sending those messages. You will be able to unsubscribe using the instructions provided in those communications.
3. Store locator and location information
Our store locator allows you to search for nearby retailers using a city, postal code or your device location.
The interactive map is rendered in your browser using MapLibre GL JS. Map styles and map tiles are currently loaded from OpenFreeMap, which uses map data derived from OpenStreetMap.
When you search by city or postal code, the search is used to identify nearby retailer locations from the store data used by our website. We do not use these searches to create a customer profile or location history.
If you select “Use My Location,” your browser will ask whether you want to share your device's location. If you allow access, the resulting coordinates are used in your browser to calculate and display nearby retailers.
We do not intentionally retain your device coordinates in a customer database or use them for advertising or profiling. You can decline location access and search by city or postal code instead. You can also change location permissions at any time through your browser or device settings.
When the map is displayed, your browser makes normal network requests to OpenFreeMap to retrieve the map resources needed for the area being shown. OpenFreeMap may process technical request information in accordance with its own privacy policy.
You can review the OpenFreeMap Privacy Policy.
5. Service providers and sharing
We use service providers to help operate our website, protect it from abuse, deliver email and display interactive maps. We provide these companies with information only to the extent reasonably necessary for them to perform those services.
Our current service providers include:
- Cloudflare — website infrastructure, security, request handling, rate limiting and Cloudflare Turnstile bot protection.
- Resend — delivery of messages submitted through our contact form and related email delivery records.
- OpenFreeMap — map styles and map tiles used by our store locator.
Cloudflare Turnstile processes technical and browser information needed to provide its security function. It is not used by us to read the content you enter in our contact form.
When you submit a contact enquiry, the name, email address and message you provide are transmitted through our website and email delivery provider so that the enquiry can be delivered to us and answered.
We may also disclose personal information where required or permitted by law, including in response to lawful requests, to investigate misuse, to protect our rights or property, or to protect the security of our services.
We do not sell or rent personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
Provider privacy information:
6. Processing outside Canada
Some of the service providers we use operate or store information outside Canada. As a result, personal information may be processed in countries whose privacy laws differ from those in Canada.
In particular, our email delivery provider, Resend, stores customer data in the United States. Contact messages and related delivery information sent through Resend may therefore be processed or stored in the United States.
Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to lawful access by courts, law enforcement or other government authorities in that jurisdiction.
7. Amazon and other external websites
Our website may contain links to Amazon, independent retailers, social media platforms and other third-party websites. When you follow one of these links, you leave oxypaw.com and the privacy practices of the external website apply.
If you purchase an OxyPaw product through Amazon or another retailer, that retailer handles the checkout, payment and other information you provide to complete the transaction. We do not receive your payment card information simply because you follow one of our retailer links.
We encourage you to review the privacy policy of the external website before providing personal information.
8. How long we keep information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for legitimate legal or business purposes.
Contact enquiries may remain in our business email systems for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the enquiry, maintain relevant business records, resolve disputes and meet legal requirements.
Our email delivery and infrastructure providers may retain technical, email or delivery records according to their own retention schedules. Resend currently states that email and log data for its Free, Pro and Scale plans is retained for 30 days, although provider practices may change over time.
Store locator searches and device coordinates are not intentionally retained by us as a customer location history.
When personal information under our control is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or for legal or business purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete it securely or remove the means by which it can be associated with an identifiable individual.
9. Protecting your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the personal information we handle.
These safeguards include website security controls, encrypted network connections where supported, bot and abuse protection, rate limiting and access controls for the systems we use to manage communications.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your choices and privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information under our control, ask how it has been used or disclosed, or request correction of inaccurate personal information.
You may also withdraw consent to certain uses or disclosures of your information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. We will explain any consequences of withdrawing consent where applicable.
You may ask questions or raise concerns about how we handle personal information at any time.
To make a privacy request, contact our Privacy Officer using the information below. We may need to verify your identity before providing access to or changing personal information.
11. Updates to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our website, service providers, technology, business practices or applicable requirements.
The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was most recently revised. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes.
